Unofficial energica manual website..
« on: January 12, 2020, 03:50:05 PM »

Hi guys.

Just thought I'd post this here

https://energica.wiki/index.php/Main_Page

If you are someone who likes helping the community, please add to this to help the neegica tweakers and owners alike have a manual for developing ideas and passing in technical information to the users that need it.

There is a link to the zero motorcycle unofficial guide also as a guide on how it can be a parallel to it..

No obligation either.. but let's get this unofficial guide going..

Thanks for the link! I’ve bookmarked it.

On a related note, when you buy an Energica, your dealer should be able to get you PDF copies of both the owner’s and service manual for your model. They were available for my 2020 EsseEsse9 although after reading the service manual I’ll probably leave any major work to the dealer...lol. All of the high voltage warnings don’t give me a warm fuzzy for working on my bike myself.

Good idea! And good luck. The Energica owner's manual is more comprehensive than for Zero, but Energica operates differently as a company and the models so you'll probably be focusing on different facets.

You might want to quietly find out what issues there are with publicly linking a file owned and copyrighted by them. The Zero manual has carefully skirted this issue just to avoid giving lawyers ammunition.

The high voltage warnings are pretty serious for a reason, though. Take care when sharing about that; anyone can transgress electrical safety rules without noticing until it's too late.

I will say I do not mind that/whether this or any other similar wiki cribs from the unofficial Zero wiki structure, but I would like to see ideas for improving that structure, so I'll keep tabs on the site for this and other reasons.

I checked on this site, and it's got a lot of spam pages now.

Someone needs to tend to the site and keep it relatively secure, because mediawiki page-stuffing is an ongoing technique. Good luck!

Yeah, unless someone maintains it, it should be shut down... I would help maintaining but I don't have any experience with Wiki maintenance. It's obvious that at the very least some access restriction is necessary.

If anyone is interested in writing stuff,
I can host a https://wiki.js.org/ site.

I am not the writer type of guy but could host the software (already have tested a bit around and looks pretty cool actually)

Energica.wiki seemed to have an attempt to clean up a while back, they implemented required some verification of new users, but I checked it right now and it says "This Domain Name Has Expired - Renewal Instructions." at the top.  I guess they aren't very Serious.  Multivitamin, if you'd like to host, maybe we should try again?
