Designed to compete with a modern 350, the MXR comes equipped with 50 HP and more torque than its predecessors. The 2018 MXR Performance Maps allow the Redshift to be just as capable as a novice trail and woods bike as it is a professional MX2/Lites class motocrosser. The MXR requires no air filters, oil changes, or top end rebuilds, so you can spend less time wrenching on your bike and more time riding. Join the growing number of people that believe this is one of the most fun motorcycles ever built.

Fran K:
I guess it is kind of intresting

a) the low mileage.  Why buy the thing in the first place?

B) the one claims it is a 450 class bike and the other says it is comparable to a 350cc but supposed to enter into the MX2/Lites class motocrosser.

Neither one says which charger or if a charger.

Wow great job Fortnine.

Except for the fact I posted this in 2020.

Could you suggest the minute mark or marks for the topic  "The story of Alta Motors, including their raises, development, partnership with Harley Davidson and eventual closure"  it is just a little more than an hour.

How much Alta got into a position of owing suppliers is rumored to be part of the problem particularly why no one else would pick up the pieces.

I have stated my opinion that they just did not sell.  Look at the ones for sale Richard230 put a few posts back who actually bought them.  The folks maybe half a dozen that I meet at events or club rides were reallly impressed but did not buy.

Edit:
I looked up some bookmarks or favorites from years gong by.  the first one does not seem to have post numbers but look about half way down the first page.  "For now we're hoping to hold the pricing stead"    6/10/2017 2:06pm       https://www.vitalmx.com/forums/Moto-Related,20/Alta-Motors-CEO-AMA-Marc-Fenigstein,1320803?page=1

I can't remember the time stamps.  You can listen to it in 20 min sections if you're interested but don't want to drop an hour.

I have 3 Cycle trader searches saved as links.  One for all Zeros, one that's Alta and Energica and one for the Livewires.
When Alta shut down I think there were about 250 mostly new bikes listed for sale.  I wanted to see how far they would drop in price.
At first they did.  About 8-9k and then they started selling.  Then when it got down to about 65 bikes they started going back up to MSRP.
The last 5-10 bikes were listed over MSRP.  They all sold.  I think I've only seen one of the supermotos for resale in two years.
Just great bikes.

The Stark Varg will hurt the after market for Altas.  As the spare parts dry up they will part bikes out to keep running.
